Warhawk Space is Live

Here is the video on using the space as found on the playstation blog. You can find the space thru your virtual controller...just like finding the Red Bull space. Socom space unfortunately, did not make it today, but we can expect it soon. The cool feature is the map board. It's simply awesome!!! Being that you can place arrows and vehicles throughout the map to make the ultimate battle plan. The only thing I could request would be some privacy setting for just clan mates using the map board.

Warhawk is on sale...The nice thing about the game is the use of the sixaxis controller. Going into settings to make adjustments to steer the tanks and jeeps. And flying the Warhawk planes makes a big difference with sixaxis.

Just went exploring onto www.killzone.com and WOW!!! Tons of information there about the new KZ2. The site is very similar to what Socom.com just went through with registeration, forum, stats, and CLANS!!! There is a live chat on the site at noon today PST.

Killzone 2 Information

After carefully looking into this, reading the posts, talking to a lot of you directly and analysing the controls at GG we have come to the conclusion that there are no changes required to the system. If at all, any changes to the controls would put the majority of people who have not had problems or have adapted out of whack, which may be more serious. Killzone 2 is a weighty, slower, more tactical first person experience that focuses on immersion. It is not a twitchy, split-second gun-wielding experience like some shooters. Also, the online experience is quicker as we've made the controls and animations a little faster during design.

I want to thank you all for your often constructive feedback, both positive and negative and we'll continue to take it all on board to help us make better games. It is almost time folks. Lets enjoy it.

Socom 2.0 BETA? More Improvements Coming!

The new SOCOM.com has officially launched!

While SOCOM.com is still in beta, it’s open to the public and has many new features for SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation fans. There are a lot of changes to check out, so let’s get into it from top to bottom.

At the very top of the site is a scrolling ticker. It’s a live feed from My SOCOM, and it lists the top rated players in a variety of categories, number of players currently online, and even a feed of the titles of the latest blog posts. If you see something you like, click it to get more info!

Just below that is our new menu bar. Mousing over Community or My SOCOM reveals a couple of drop down menus. Community gives you direct access to the forums and the blog.

My SOCOM is pretty meaty. You can access My SOCOM itself, which is your gateway to the Leaderboards, your clan, profile, and many other options. If you need to check your mail, get the latest in clan updates, or compare your stats to a standout player, you can do that here. You can even recruit new clan members or view the manual for SOCOM: Confrontation.

To fully appreciate SOCOM.com, you’re going to have to log in with your PSN ID. Use the same email address and password you use on your PLAYSTATION 3. By doing this, you can use your PSN ID on the forums and in My SOCOM.

SOCOM.com is in beta and we’ve got some cool new features coming your way in the near future. Stay tuned, and come on over and check us out.

Street Fighter IV soon

I saw this video and it impresses. The nice thing about the PS3 Special Edition version is you are getting a RYU figure and a 60 minute video in blu ray of the anime serious....tempting at $79... Plenty of new characters. On reading from other websites the PS3 controls are better too. Enjoy the video SFIV coming this month.

Socom.com 2.0

Check out the new Socom.com website...now we have to log in there instead of the PSN forums to make comments. But, hey they added some neat things to it and show that improvements are being made. After you log in using PSN id, I found that a list of friends on top scroll along like the stock market. Showing top 5 killers, deaths, and so forth. Pretty neat.

-also, I found that the SOCOM HOME Space is coming with the next 3 months...maybe tomorrow according to blog.us.playstation.com

I remember watching this in the 70's having a powerful impact. General Patton speech, played by George C. Scott, spells out the need to win and teamwork. It definitely will get someone pumped up before a game like SOCOM.

Connecting PS3 to the Internet

I found an interesting article today that may help some people connecting to the internet. I feel the direct connect is the best. But, like most people, you may want to use your internet at home for your computers. What I do is plug in directly to my router. Wireless my experience is ok, but some games demand more. This article may help with your router setting too try to get more better connection to avoid the dreaded lag.
