An ad for Norton 2010 anit-virus for your computer is showing Dokken facing off with some chicken. LOL!!! I am a huge Dokken fan of the rock era in the 80's and should give a good chuckle even if you are not into rock. Try both options of Allow and DENY!

Macross - Fake, but Looking Forward

A question burns in my mind, can we ever hope to see a video capture the essence of space combat with robots and starships in the near future. The Tobie Mcquire movie is still moving forward on Macross. One can only dream that a video game can be made on the PS3 that would entertain its power in awesome fleet combat.

Transferring Files by USB Thumb Drive

If you ever wanted to back up some of your files on your PS3 or just transfer some files from a PC, then here is what you can do using a thumb drive.

1. Connect your USB thumb drive to your PC and open it.
2. Make a folder called PS3
3. Inside the PS3 folder make four folders called... MUSIC,PICTURE,SAVEDATA, and VIDEO (All in CAPS)

By doing this allows your files to be recognized by the PS3 when you insert your USB thumb drive. This comes in handy when you want to backup your files and move to a a new PS3 slim or upgrade your hard drive. Important, you can not backup your games and updates...those you can download from the PSN store. So, BEWARE (you can only download your purchases so many times from PSN)

Example...
Now that you set up your thumb drive you can load some pictures from your Personal Computer onto the file PICTURE. Take the the drive over to your PS3 and plug the drive into a usb port. Look under photo and in seconds your drive should appear. If you push X then you will get a scary message "There are no images". So push "O" to go back to the drive and push ^ Triangle. Select "Show all" and you will see the four files made. Select PICTURE and view your contents. Use ^ Triangle to Transfer to your PS3 or do a slide show.

To save those pictures of Ingame play on you Wipeout HD. Just select the photo on your PS3, then push ^ Triangle to select "Copy". And you are now ready to take the drive back to your PC to post on your blog.

I was at a party tonight and brought my PS3 along to play Rock Band 1 and 2. My surprise is that most of the people at the party have no idea about the PS3 on what it can do. Slim? Clueless, guess only the internet crowd gets it. I think these commercials need to get out to the masses more.

The good news is my local Best Buy was sold out of them on Saturday.

Why cheer? The more consoles equals more money for developers to come and make better games and features for all of us.

Your PS3 Should Be Online Ad

Totally agree. The sad thing is that I have a friend who does that very thing. Got a PS3 a couple of years ago and has no idea of all the cool things you can do online for FREE.

You guys know about HOME having free movie clips now and free mini games to checkout? Not to mention updates, the video store, buy games, and and just use the browser to surf the web. COME ON!
